In Madhya Pradesh, an order has been issued for police officers to salute Members of Parliament and Members of Legislative Assemblies. This directive has been released by DGP Kailash Makwana. The DGP has instructed all police units to extend formal greetings to these honorables during official ceremonies or casual meetings by saluting them.
Furthermore, the DGP notes that letters sent by honorable parliamentarians and legislators should be responded to with signatures within a stipulated timeline. Should any MP or MLA visit an officer at their office, they should be met with utmost priority and their concerns should be addressed according to the law.
