In Bhopal, former Madhya Pradesh DGP H.M. Joshi has accused his caretaker of assaulting him. At 99, the ex-DGP resides in Bhopal's prestigious Arera Colony. The police are currently investigating the matter. The accused caretaker was hired through an agency.
In his application to the Habibganj police, H.M. Joshi stated, 'Due to my inability to move around, I hired a caretaker named Rafiq through an agency for assistance. On April 8, around 4:30 PM, while I was sitting in the drawing room reading a newspaper, caretaker Rafiq tried to strangle me, demanding all the money I had. However, when Geeta, the cook living in the servant quarters, came in, Rafiq released my neck and began pleading for forgiveness.'
Valuable Statues Missing
Joshi alleged that his driver informed the agency where Rafiq was hired, but the agency failed to provide any satisfactory response or took proper action against the guilty individual. Upon suspecting something amiss, a check was conducted in the house, revealing the disappearance of two valuable brass statues from the drawing room.
