On January 6, a shocking revelation emerged in the case of the woman found dead near the Rajakheda Bypass Bridge. The police investigation disclosed that her husband, and not an outsider, was responsible for her murder.

Father's Misguided Accusation

The deceased woman's father, Bahadur Singh, filed a report at the Nihalganj police station. He alleged that his daughter Komal was killed by her ex-fiancé Gajendra alias Pappu and his three accomplices. The report highlighted threats from the ex-fiancé to defame Komal by releasing photos.

The police took the matter seriously, conducted a post-mortem via a medical board, and gathered evidence from the scene with an FSL team. During the probe, suspicions arose about the accused's role, leading to an exhaustive investigation.

Truth Unveiled Through Call Records

Krishnaraj Jangid, CO of Dholpur City, reported obtaining call detail records (CDR) of named suspect Gajendra alias Pappu. It was found he wasn't present at the crime scene during the incident. Subsequently, neighbors and the deceased's husband were interrogated thoroughly.

In an intense interrogation, the deceased's husband, 38-year-old Ganga Singh, confessed his guilt. He revealed his suspicion towards his wife Komal for conversing with another man, which led to constant disputes.

Relentless Assault for Three Days

The police informed that Ganga Singh, employed as a contractor in Gujarat, returned home on January 4. He immediately began assaulting his wife. The brutality continued on the evening of January 5 and the morning of January 6.

On the morning of January 6, while Komal was about to inform her father about her husband's abuse after dropping her children at school, the husband exploited the dense fog to follow and assault her once more below the Rajakheda Overbridge.

Fabricated Story to Mislead Investigators

Severely injured, Komal's husband rushed her to the hospital and deceitfully informed her father that the ex-fiancé was responsible for the assault. Though she was referred to Agra from the district hospital, she tragically died en route.

The police have apprehended the accused husband and initiated legal proceedings by charging him with murder. She leaves behind two daughters and a son. This case spotlighted the grave perils of domestic violence and baseless suspicion.
