In a surprising turn of events, Prashant Kumar Singh, the Deputy Commissioner (GST) from Ayodhya who gained notoriety by resigning with the support of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, is now accused of securing his job with a fake disability certificate.
These allegations are not from an outsider but from his own elder brother, Dr. Vishwajit Singh. According to Vishwajit, Prashant Kumar landed his government position using a fake disability certificate. He lodged a complaint regarding this matter back in 2021. On August 20, 2021, he requested a re-evaluation of Prashant Singh's disability certificate.
Did Not Appear Before Medical Board
Following this, the Regional Medical Council summoned Prashant Singh for an examination, yet he failed to appear before the board. Vishwajit Singh claims that Prashant dodged the medical board on two occasions.
Moreover, another letter by Vishwajit is going viral. It was addressed to the Chief Medical Officer (CMO), urging re-investigation of Prashant Singh's disability certificate. Vishwajit further alleged that the resignation was merely a spectacle to evade scrutiny and potential recovery actions.
Fake Certificate on Grounds of Eye Disease
Vishwajit Singh contends that the eye disease Prashant used to secure this disability certificate doesn't occur in individuals under 50 years old globally.

The CMO Mau has now launched an investigation into the entire situation. Dr. Vishwajit Singh has formally lodged a complaint against Prashant Kumar Singh accusing him of job acquisition through a fake disability certificate.
These accusations surfacing after his resignation have intensified the entire scenario, with everyone keenly observing the medical board's report and the administrative investigation results.
Prashant Singh's Resignation Reason
It should be noted that Prashant Kumar Singh, serving in Ayodhya as the Deputy Commissioner of GST, resigned while expressing support for PM Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. He stated his hurt over remarks made by Avimukteshwaranand against CM Yogi.
He remarked, "I cannot tolerate public disrespect towards the Chief Minister of the state whose salt and bread I consume and whose government salary sustains my family. I am not a robot; I have emotions too."
48-year-old Prashant Kumar Singh hails from Sarwa village in Mau district. His first appointment was in Saharanpur, and his posting in Ayodhya occurred on October 21, 2023.
