The Meerut police have finally unraveled the shocking murder case of Saurabh Rajput in the Brahmpuri area. The plot was sinisterly orchestrated by none other than Saurabh’s own wife, Muskan, along with her lover Sahil. The duo sedated Saurabh with a drug-laced meal and, as he lay unconscious, Muskan handed Sahil the knife intended for poultry, which was plunged into Saurabh’s chest.
Following the murder, both conspirators hid the body in a plastic drum within their house and escaped on a holiday to Manali, Kasol, and Shimla. Upon their return, Muskan confided in her mother, leading to the case's shocking revelation. Presently, the police have apprehended both suspects and recovered the victim’s body. The investigation hints at illicit love and money disputes as motives, with deeper inquiries underway.
The veil of secrecy was lifted on March 18, 2025, when a man named Bablu, Saurabh’s brother, reported his sibling missing since March 5. Bablu suspected unholy involvement by his sister-in-law Muskan and her lover Sahil Shukla, prompting intense police investigations.
Investigators discovered that Saurabh held a stable job in a London bakery, visiting India once a month, yet cloaked himself as part of the merchant navy. Tragically, during these visits, his wife Muskan forged a romantic connection with Sahil Shukla, prompting them to eliminate Saurabh.

On the night of March 4, Muskan secretly slipped a sedative into her
, rendering him unconscious. Seizing the moment, she called Sahil home. The pair savagely attacked Saurabh with knives, even severing his limbs. To dispose of the corpse, they acquired a large plastic drum, cement, and sand from a local market, sealing the body in the drum with concrete.
After the gruesome act, they nonchalantly toured Shimla. Upon their return on March 17, the police investigation had gained momentum. Intense questioning induced confessions from both, leading to the discovery of Saurabh’s body encased in the drum, alongside the murder weapon—a knife and razor.
Muskan had taken Saurabh’s phone post-murder, impersonating him to family to prevent suspicion. She even chatted with Saurabh’s sister Chinki during Holi, pretending as her husband. Skillfully deflecting queries about their daughter’s absence during Holi festivities with health excuses, Muskan’s deceit was almost impeccable. Not until Chinki grew concerned and her calls to Saurabh went unanswered did familial suspicions heighten, sparking efforts to locate Saurabh.
Now, with the culprits in custody, the horrific incident underscores the perils of reckless passion leading to tragic ends. This unsettling example from Meerut is a stark reminder of relationship ruins and heinous crimes born of illicit love.
