'Kejriwal seeks a decision from Delhi’s people, not a desire for power,' says Atishi in 'Halla Bol'

Atishi mentioned, 'A man who left his income tax job to serve Delhi’s slums and its people, offering free utilities and services at the cost of his health. An accusation of corruption against such a man is bound to cause pain.'

In the special show 'Halla Bol' by Aaj Tak, AAP leader Atishi was asked about Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's resignation announcement. If resigning on moral grounds was necessary, it should have been done 177 days ago when he went to jail. Replacing him with another AAP member would have indicated detachment from power, unlike now when he demands elections and seeks to appoint a dummy CM. Atishi responded that Kejriwal wants a decision from the people of Delhi, not from the CM’s chair.

Delhi government minister Atishi stated, 'The unethical actions are by the BJP. They aim to dismantle all opposition parties and their governments gradually. By using ED and CBI as political weapons, they break parties, confiscate symbols, and topple governments. They have formed governments in Maharashtra, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Manipur, and Arunachal Pradesh using ED and CBI.

'Supreme Court's Involvement'

She added, 'It's unethical that the Supreme Court had to comment that ED and CBI are like caged parrots and must be independent. All BJP's actions have been unethical. The Supreme Court granted Kejriwal bail under strict laws like PMLA. Kejriwal resigned because of his own pain.'

'... It hurts'

Atishi remarked, 'A man who left his profitable income tax job to work in Delhi’s slums, serving its residents, offering free electricity, water, schools, and hospitals by risking his health. When such a man faces corruption accusations, it wounds deeply.'

'Kejriwal seeks a decision from Delhi's public'

She said, 'The Supreme Court has granted bail, but Kejriwal seeks a decisive verdict from the people of Delhi. From those he worked tirelessly for over 10 years. If Delhi’s residents believe Kejriwal is honest, only then will he continue as Chief Minister. Otherwise, he has no desire to hold the CM’s chair. This is what he said.'
