England's second innings scoreboard plummets

England's second innings remained lackluster, with wickets falling in quick succession. Early on, Ben Duckett was dismissed by Ashwin, who also took out Jack Crowley and Ollie Pope. All three batsmen were out by the score of 36. Jonny Bairstow attempted memorable shots to celebrate his 100th Test but got trapped in Kuldeep's spin and was declared LBW. Just before lunch, Ashwin also sent England's captain Ben Stokes packing after scoring just 2 runs. After lunch, Ashwin's magic continued as he dismissed England's wicketkeeper Ben Foakes.

The partnership between Tom Hartley (20) and Joe Root was developing when stand-in captain Bumrah dismissed Hartley at 141. Shortly after, Mark Wood also departed.

Muttiah Muralitharan holds the record for the most 5-wicket hauls in Test cricket with 67 occurrences. Ashwin has now equaled Sir Richard Hadlee, who has achieved this 36 times, and is just one behind Shane Warne's 37 times.

India eyes a historic Test record after 112 years

India achieved its seventh comeback victory in Tests after trailing 0-1, aiming to set a historic record if it wins the final match of the series. India is poised to register its 17th Test series win.
