Following a terrorist attack in Pahalgam, India responded with missile strikes on terror locations through Operation Sindoor. To gauge the nation's sentiment post-operation, India Today and CVoter conducted a Mood of the Nation survey, with the results now available.
The survey aimed at understanding public perception concerning the alliance between China, Pakistan, and Bangladesh. Over 70% of respondents expressed concern over this trilateral relationship. The question presented was, 'How concerned are you about this alliance between China, Pakistan, and Bangladesh?'
Responses showed that 48% were very concerned, 24% slightly worried, while 8% were not too troubled. Meanwhile, 12% expressed no concern at all. Additional questions focused on India's priorities regarding China.

When asked about India's priorities concerning China, 56% emphasized border security, 22% focused on trade improvement, and 17% favored diplomatic dialogues. Back in the February 2025 survey, 53% prioritized border security, 20% trade improvements, and 23% diplomatic engagement.

The number of people prioritizing border security has risen by 3% compared to the previous survey. When questioned about whether India's standing has improved due to the NDA government's foreign policy, 67% responded positively, though 27% disagreed.

In the February 2025 survey, 73% had affirmed a positive outlook on India's global stance, facing a 6% decrease now. 25% had then disagreed, a figure that has now increased to 27%. Questions about India's global reputation were also presented in this survey.
