Assembly elections are hitting Bihar later this year, in the months of October and November. The political atmosphere is charged with anticipation. Meanwhile, through Operation Sindur, Indian forces have given a stern lesson to the terrorist haven, Pakistan. On another front, the hefty tariffs imposed by Trump have exacerbated trade tensions between India and America.
To gauge the nation's sentiment in these times, India Today partnered with C-Voter to conduct the 'Mood of the Nation' survey. This survey involved an impressive sample size of 206,826 people and was conducted from July 1 to August 14, 2025. Participants were asked, 'How was the response of Operation Sindur post the Pahalgam attack?'
In response, 55% of people remarked that it was a very strong response. Whereas 15% considered it to be a moderate, yet sufficient response, while 21% perceived it as weak.
