In Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh, a violent dispute over the purchase of a 24-bigha garden resulted in the brutal beating and murder of Sufiyan, the nephew of the late former MLA Haji Aleem. This incident took place near Neemkheda village on the night of January 4, around 8 PM. Sufiyan was laid to rest on the evening of January 5, under heavy police presence.
The tragic event occurred when Sufiyan, along with his brother Akram and lawyer Qadir, visited Dr. Mumtaz's garden. They were confronted by intoxicated individuals who were already present, leading to a heated argument over the garden purchase. The attackers then used sticks to assault them, resulting in serious injuries to Akram and the unfortunate death of Sufiyan at the hospital. The police have filed a report against BJP divisional leader Pintu Chaudhary and his brothers, as well as five unidentified individuals.
The Dispute Erupts Over Garden Acquisition
According to SSP Dinesh Kumar Singh, multiple parties were interested in purchasing the garden, which led to tensions. The attackers seized Akram's pistol and vandalized their car. As villagers gathered in response to the commotion, the assailants fled the scene. Akram is currently receiving treatment at a medical college.
FIR Filed Against BJP Leader, Several Detained
Based on a complaint from Akram's brother, the police have registered an FIR against BJP divisional leader Pintu Chaudhary, his two brothers, and five unknown individuals.
