On Thursday afternoon in Etawa's Dandarpur village, members of the 'Ahir Regiment' and 'Yadav Mahasabha' caused a major disturbance. The charged crowd pelted stones at the police force, damaging vehicles with sticks and stones. In self-defense, police resorted to firing shots in the air, as tensions escalated sharply. In response, significant police forces have been deployed to maintain order.

The police attempted to stop the crowd before they reached Dandarpur village. An enraged crowd retaliated by throwing stones at the police teams, shattering a police vehicle's windshield. The situation spiraled into chaos, with police initially retreating. However, with senior officers' intervention, order was soon restored, and fortunately, no injuries were reported.

Etawah police wielded batons to disperse the rioters and opened fire as a warning. Additional forces were summoned, leading to the fleeing of 'Ahir Regiment' and 'Yadav Mahasabha' members. The situation is now under control, with approximately 12 individuals detained.

According to sources, Gagan Yadav from the 'Ahir Regiment' had urged supporters to march to Dandarpur village. Although under house arrest, a substantial number still reached the vicinity, professing a peaceful protest intent. The police, however, barred entry to the village, igniting outrage among the protesters.

Notably, Dandarpur is the site where Mukut Mani Yadav and Sant Kumar Yadav faced misconduct from some Brahmin youths. The incident erupted into chaos upon video revelations, sparking political discourses. Akhilesh Yadav invited the storytellers to the SP office, garnering support for them, while the police apprehended and incarcerated four from the accused Brahmin side. A twist emerged when counter-accusations of harassment were made against the storytellers, prompting police to file cases against them too.

Regarding today's disturbance, Superintendent of Police (Rural) Shreeshachandra stated that attempts were made by some to incite unrest, but the situation was brought under immediate control. Peace and order are now maintained with some arrests made, and vehicles impounded as per the law.
