Haryana News:

A shocking revelation has come to light in the high-profile Vinod Barada murder case of Panipat after nearly two and a half years. Unlike earlier believed, Vinod's murder was a planned hit, orchestrated by his own wife, Nidhi, and her gym trainer lover, Sumit. In an astonishing twist, Sumit, blinded by love for a married woman, even bought a pick-up truck for the hired assassin Dev Sunar to execute the murder by staging an accident. When Plan A failed, and the assassin was jailed following the accident, Sumit took care of everything from the assassin's children's school fees to their household expenses and later had the hitman released on bail as part of Plan B, which ultimately led to Vinod's demise by a bullet from a pistol.

The superintendent of Panipat police, Ajit Singh Shekhawat, revealed the details of the case. A relative, Virender, filed a complaint in December 2021, explaining that his nephew Vinod Barada received injuries that ultimately proved fatal. On the evening of October 5, 2021, a hit-and-run driver with Punjab license plates struck Vinod outside the Parmhans Kutia gate, breaking both his legs. The police arrested the driver, Dev Sunar aka Deepak, a resident of Bathinda, Punjab.

Dev Sunar's sinister visit under the guise of a settlement offer

Approximately 15 days after the incident, Dev Sunar appeared, offering a settlement to withdraw from the case. Upon refusal, Dev Sunar threatened consequences and left. Bearing a grudge, on December 15, 2021, he returned with a homemade pistol, forcefully entering Vinod's home and locking the door from the inside.

Shot in the hip and head

Witnessing the threat, Vinod's wife screamed for help, and Virender, along with a neighbor, hurried to assist. Unable to open the door, they peered through a window only to find Dev Sunar had shot Vinod in the hip and head. They managed to apprehend Dev Sunar on the spot and handed him over to the police, while they rushed bleeding Vinod to the Agarsen Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Following Virender's complaint, legal proceedings were initiated at the city police station.

A message from Australia shifted the direction of the case

Police chief Ajit Singh Shekhawat further disclosed that Dev Sunar was in Panipat jail when a message from the deceased's brother hinted at the involvement of other suspects. Taking this seriously, the police assigned the case to Inspector Deepak Kumar of CIA three for re-investigation.
