The rising tensions between the United States and Iran have once again reached a dangerous tipping point. Iran has issued a stern warning to US President Donald Trump, declaring that any kind of assault on Tehran will be perceived as an "all-out war" and will be countered with unprecedented force. Meanwhile, an IRGC commander mentioned that they remain poised and ready.

A senior Iranian official, in a conversation with Reuters, noted that any form of limited, surgical or other military action by the US will be seen by Iran as an all-out conflict. The official stated, "This time if an attack happens, we will utilize all our resources for the strongest possible response."

This statement comes at a time when President Trump affirmed that a substantial fleet of US warships is moving towards Iran. According to a New York Times report, the US has dispatched the aircraft carrier Abraham Lincoln along with three destroyers armed with Tomahawk missiles to the Middle East. Additionally, the US Air Force has deployed a dozen F-15E fighter jets.

Iran's military prepares for any situation

The Iranian official mentioned that the country is on high alert and the military is ready for any "worst-case scenario". It was emphasized that a nation often under American military pressure must be prepared with all defensive measures.

Significantly, there have been ongoing government opposition protests in Iran since the beginning of the year. According to human rights organizations, over 5,000 people have died in these protests and subsequent military actions. Trump had previously threatened military intervention due to Iran's actions, although he showed signs of backing down last week.

Tensions appeared to be decreasing, but after returning from the Davos trip, new statements from Trump and the US military deployment have escalated the situation yet again. Iranian armed forces spokespeople have also warned that any action against the Supreme Leader would result in "throwing the world into flames."
