Tension mounts in Minneapolis, Minnesota, as an ICE agent's gunfire results in the death of a person. This incident has sparked a clash between President Donald Trump and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz.

Accusing Minnesota's Governor Tim Walz and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey (both Democrats) of inciting rebellion, Trump blames them for incendiary behavior. Meanwhile, Walz harshly criticizes Trump's immigration policy.

On his social media platform, Social Truth, Trump wrote, 'The Mayor and Governor are provoking unrest with their arrogant, dangerous, and ego-driven rhetoric. Instead of inciting people, these fools should focus on recovering the billions stolen from Minnesotans and all Americans.' Trump posted two images of an ICE agent's finger allegedly bitten off by a protester.

'Why Wasn't Local Police Deployed?'

Trump questioned the absence of local police ensuring the safety of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers. He claimed that officers were hindered in performing their duties.

Trump declared, 'This is the shooter's gun. Loaded with two additional full magazines and ready to fire... What is this all about? Where was the local police? Why weren’t they permitted to protect the ICE officers? Did the Mayor and Governor recall them?'

Referring to the deceased as armed, Trump stated the ICE agents acted in self-defense.

'Let ICE Patriots Do Their Jobs'

In his post, President Trump wrote, 'The thieves who stole money will go to jail. That’s precisely where they belong. It's no different from bank robbery.'

Trump also alleged that the public criticism of federal agents’ actions was a distraction to conceal theft and fraud. Minnesota leaders are fueling rebellion through their arrogant, dangerous rhetoric. We must allow our ICE patriots to do their jobs.

Democrat Governor Questions Trump's Decision

Minnesota's Democrat Governor, Tim Walz, condemned federal actions and called for an immediate halt to campaigns. Walz tweeted on X (formerly known as Twitter), 'This is absolutely wrong. President (Donald Trump) must end this campaign. Remove these thousands of violent, untrained officers from Minnesota at once.'

This incident has further strained relations between state authorities and the Trump administration amid the expansion of federal immigration enforcement in Minnesota, drawing severe criticism from local leaders and reactionary politics from the White House.

The federal agents’ gunfire that claimed a life occurred in the southern part of Minneapolis. Local officials reported investigating the incident and urged citizens to remain calm and avoid the area.

Americans Outraged Over Renee Good's Murder

The incident unfolded during a large-scale anti-immigration operation run by the Trump administration. Earlier, on January 7, an ICE officer fatally shot 37-year-old Renee Good, leading to a public outcry.

The turmoil erupted when 37-year-old mother of three, Renee Good, was shot dead by an ICE agent.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) alleged that the woman was a rioter attempting to run over an agent with a car. President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance defended the ICE agent at the time.
