On January 20 next year, Donald Trump is set to take the oath as President of the United States. Before this, he is diligently assembling his team. After several high-profile appointments, he has entrusted Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy with substantial responsibility.

Trump expressed his excitement stating, "I'm pleased to announce that the great Elon Musk, alongside the proud American patriot Vivek Ramaswamy, will lead the Department of Government Efficiency — a crucial element for the 'Save America' movement. These extraordinary individuals will collaborate to cleanse my administration's bureaucracy, slash wasteful expenditures, abolish unnecessary regulations, and focus on restructuring federal agencies. Perhaps, this can become the Manhattan Project of our times, a long-held Republican ambition to fulfill the goals of DOGE.
Historically, the Manhattan Project was a significant initiative by the U.S. government that led to the development of the atomic bomb.
Upon being included in the American Cabinet, Musk commented on the Department of Government Efficiency. He emphasized that it sends a direct message to those squandering government funds.
Vivek Ramaswamy responded by saying, “Elon and I are deeply committed to approaching this task seriously, without taking anything lightly.”
It's noteworthy that initially, Ramaswamy was a contender for the Republican nomination in the presidential race. However, he later retracted his candidacy and threw his support behind Trump.
Prior to this, Trump appointed Mike Waltz as his National Security Advisor. As the head of the India Caucus in the U.S. Senate, Waltz is a champion of America's robust defense strategy and actively supports Trump’s promises to strengthen national security. In the context of the Russia-Ukraine conflict and prolonged Middle Eastern conflicts, Waltz could play a pivotal role.
Donald Trump also appointed former Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) director Tom Homan as his 'Border Czar.' With staunch beliefs in aggressive border enforcement, Homan’s oversight will extend across the southern and northern frontiers, as well as maritime and aviation security. Additionally, he will manage deportation operations.
