The OnePlus 15 has debuted in India, and I've been using it for the past two weeks. Here's my full review of how this phone fares in real life. Interestingly, the OnePlus line skips from the 13 straight to the 15, potentially due to the number 14's superstitions in China.
OnePlus 15: Price & Offers
Two variants have arrived in India: 12GB+256GB priced at ₹72,999 and 16GB+512GB at ₹79,999. With bank and exchange offers, you can get an extra discount of up to ₹4,000.
OnePlus 15: Design
Compared to the OnePlus 13, the design of the OnePlus 15 has undergone a complete transformation. The raised camera module could be sleeker. The front is shielded by Gorilla Glass Victus 2. The frame, remarkably resembling stone or tile, is actually an aerospace-grade aluminum alloy with a nano-ceramic mid-frame.
This makes it distinctly different from other existing smartphones. But you’ll only appreciate this uniqueness after using it. I particularly liked this special color variant. The crystal glass back exudes a premium feel and resists fingerprints. The bezels are incredibly thin.

OnePlus 15 Display
The OnePlus 15 features a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display. It offers a 1.5K display with a 165Hz adaptive refresh rate. The 1.5mm bezels enhance the viewing area. With a peak brightness of up to 3000 nits, outdoor use is a breeze. The ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner is lightning fast.
The overall experience, from gaming to content consumption, has been quite impressive. While a 2K display would have been optimal, given the previous iteration had one, this display is still outstanding and practical, likely to win you over.
OnePlus 15: Performance
Now landing in India, the OnePlus 15 is the first smartphone with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. Paired with a 16GB RAM option, it is ultra-responsive. During both benchmarks and real-life usage tests, it outpaces the iPhone 17, marking the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 as the fastest Android processor to date.
A glacier dual-layer cooling system keeps it from overheating during extensive gaming. Games like COD Mobile and BGMI run smoothly for hours. Multitasking is seamless. In short, the OnePlus 15 is a performance champion—at least for the two-week usage period I’ve had.
Thus far, there have been no issues with throttling, overheating, or any green lines. Additionally, OnePlus has assured that any green line issues will be repaired or replaced for free.

OnePlus 15: Camera
The OnePlus 15 boasts triple 50-megapixel rear cameras. The Hasselblad partnership is no longer, so the 'H' branding is absent. Despite lower aperture lenses compared to the OnePlus 13, the optical zoom supports up to 3.5x. For those wanting 5x, it's a shortcoming; yet, each lens performs well. Daylight photos are sharp with vibrant colors and improved dynamic range.
A new periscope lens offers clear zoom shots with minimal quality loss, notably better than before. Night photography is satisfying, too; advanced computational imaging reduces noise, and its wide lens maintains edge clarity and consistency.
Videos can be recorded in 8K, with both 4K and 8K supporting Dolby Vision for cinematic quality. Stabilization is also enhanced. The 32-megapixel front camera allows for 4K vlogging.
Overall, the camera system in the OnePlus 15 can be described as a pro-grade setup, delivering excellent photos and videos.

OnePlus 15: Battery
Featuring a sizable 7,300mAh battery, the OnePlus 15 uses a silicon-carbon cell. The form factor remains slim while offering more battery power. Even with moderate use, it lasts up to 2 days.
A charger is included, supporting up to 120W wired fast charging. Within 15 minutes, you can charge up to 50%, reaching full charge in about half an hour. Moreover, it supports 50W wireless charging, which is extremely fast. It also allows for reverse and bypass charging, making it practical for gaming which extends battery life.
Interestingly, just a 5 to 6 minute charge enables 4 to 5 hours of video watching. Particularly for flagship phones, notorious for being power-hungry, this sets a challenging benchmark for competitors.

OnePlus 15: AI Features
The OnePlus 15 incorporates practical AI features. AI Search and Summary are immensely helpful on a daily basis. From crafting notes to translating or summarizing articles, it's quick and simple. AI gallery tools allow photo de-blurring and object removal. The voice AI can read articles in your own voice.
AI Gaming Boost adapts for improved performance, and AI Scheduler and Assistant automate daily routines, though some features appear half-baked and not quite polished.

OnePlus 15: Bottom Line
Overall, the OnePlus 15 is a robust performer. From looks and feel to daily use, it outperforms many flagships. Its sandstone variant is reminiscent of OnePlus’ early days when it brought out sandstone finish phones. Although now competition has grown, calling it a flagship killer is a stretch. Nevertheless, it justifies its price, performing on par with phones that cost 1 lakh.
