During a press conference post the NATO summit on Wednesday, President of the United States, Donald Trump, unveiled critical information regarding the recent Iranian attack on the American military base located in Qatar. Trump disclosed that prior to Iran launching missiles at Al Udeid Airbase on Monday, almost all military personnel were safely evacuated. He remarked that he did not wish to draw parallels to Hiroshima or Nagasaki where the conclusion of war after America's nuclear assault is often cited.

The Iranian attack was a retaliatory measure to the U.S.'s bombing of three of Iran's nuclear sites. Trump stated, "We targeted Iran's three nuclear facilities, and they have been utterly obliterated. It was a decisive action." He further added, "I don't want to cite Hiroshima. I don't want to cite Nagasaki, yet essentially, it was the same. That conflict came to an end, just as this one has with our latest strike on Iran."
