As Bihar braces for state elections at the year's close, political parties are gearing up. The Election Commission has officially assigned the 'School Bag' symbol to the Jan Suraj Party. All 243 of their candidates will enter the upcoming assembly elections under this emblem.

Political strategist turned politician Prashant Kishor declared the launch of Jan Suraj Party a year ago. Kishor's party is poised to contest all 243 assembly seats in Bihar, having already announced their candidates without any alliance intentions. Firmly rejecting coalition possibilities, they've stated an independent pursuit of electoral success.
On the campaign trail, Kishor, along with party leaders and workers, is reaching citizens across constituencies to share their vision and roadmap for Bihar. Street corner meetings are abundant, as Kishor outlines the failures of the current government and opposition, while emphasizing why Jan Suraj stands apart and deserves public support.
Previously, Kishor's 'Jan Suraj Yatra' embarked on October 2, 2022, commemorating Mahatma Gandhi's birthday. This journey spanned two years, observing Bihar's diverse landscape and gauging public sentiment before officially founding the Jan Suraj Party on October 2, 2024.
