The United States has apprehended 538 illegal immigrant criminals, including a suspected terrorist and several offenders convicted of sexual crimes against minors. In a series of posts on X, White House Press Secretary Carolyn Levitt stated that the Trump administration deported these individuals using military planes.
She remarked, "The largest deportation effort in history is running smoothly. Promises were made and promises are being kept. The Trump administration has apprehended 538 illegal immigrant criminals, including a suspected terrorist, four members of the Tren de Aragua gang, and several offenders guilty of sexual crimes against minors."
Highlighting the launch of deportation flights, she emphasized that President Donald Trump is sending out a strong and unequivocal message globally: if you enter the United States illegally, you will face severe consequences.
It should be noted that the Republican-led House granted final approval on Wednesday to a bill requiring the detention of unauthorized immigrants accused of theft and violent crimes—marking the first law signed by President Trump aligned with his plans to crack down on illegal immigration, receiving some bipartisan support.
On Wednesday, Trump also issued executive orders aimed at sealing the U.S.-Mexico border and deporting millions of immigrants lacking permanent legal status. He canceled refugee resettlement and indicated plans to prosecute local law enforcement officers who do not implement his new immigration policies.
