A heart-rending incident from Jaipur, Rajasthan, has caught everyone's attention—a 9-year-old girl, Amayra, tragically leapt from her school building's fourth floor on November 1. The family claims that continuous bullying at school became unbearable. When Amayra complained to her teachers, they chose not to take her plight seriously.
The family believes that had the school administration and teachers acted timely, their daughter would still be with them today. The incident occurred around 11 AM on November 1. Amayra was seen in CCTV footage wandering the hallway before reaching the fourth floor's railing. The footage shows her climbing onto the railing and falling seconds later. Although staff rushed her to the hospital, the doctors declared Amayra dead upon arrival.

Shivani, Amayra's mother, shared that she had told her class teacher about some students troubling Amayra, but the teacher dismissed it, saying it was just child's play and not to overthink it. Her father, Vijay, recounted a past incident.
During a parents' meeting, Vijay noticed a boy making strange gestures towards Amayra. When he approached the teacher, the response was that it's a co-ed school, and Amayra should understand. Vijay was shocked by such dismissiveness from the teachers.

Amayra's father questioned the immediate cleaning of the scene if the school had nothing to hide. It appeared as if the school administration was trying to bury the incident. This incident has stirred anger in Jaipur. The Joint Parents Association Rajasthan (JPAR) has leveled serious allegations against the school administration. The association's president, Arvind Agarwal, noted conversations with Amayra's uncle and others, revealing that the child suffered multiple bullying incidents over the last two years. Despite several student complaints, the school staff didn't act. JPAR demands an independent investigation and strict action if negligence is proven.
Police Investigation Findings
The Jaipur police, recognizing the sensitivities and gravity of the case, have launched an extensive investigation focusing on the school administration, teachers, and CCTV footage. An FIR has been registered against the school management for alleged negligence and evidence tampering.

A senior police official stated that postmortem findings will examine all aspects of Amayra's death to determine if it was purely a suicide or if any conspiracy was involved.
This tragedy has ignited a debate on school safety and care. The heart-wrenching story of young Amayra, who dreaded attending school and whose complaints were dismissed simply as “kids being kids,” has pushed parents into reflection. How could such despair lead her to this tragic end?
The family and parents' association believe this isn't just the death of a girl but a massive system failure. The neglect of children’s mental health, bullying issues, and casual dismissal of complaints are alarming indicators. Amayra’s parents plead for justice, asserting that while their daughter may not return, they wish for no more Amayras to suffer. They demand accountability for the school's and teachers' negligence, hoping for corrective measures in school systems.
