A startling incident has emerged from Jhansi's Uldan police area in Uttar Pradesh. A woman, after being away at her parental home for 10 years, returned to her in-laws' house using a goat sacrifice as a pretext. She engaged in a physical altercation with her husband, which grew serious as her brother and sister also joined in the attack. The situation quickly moved beyond the sacrifice and became a dispute over the distribution of property. Currently, the police are interrogating both parties.
In Palara village within the Uldan jurisdiction, villagers were taken aback by a strange occurrence last night. Local resident Mukesh Shrivastava reported that he has been married for 13 years, but his wife Rinki has been living at her parents' home for the past decade. Without warning, she arrived last night allegedly for a goat sacrifice accompanied by her brother, sister, and half a dozen relatives. Mukesh claimed that an argument about the sacrifice erupted, which led his wife and her family to physically assault him.
Victim Mukesh has leveled accusations that his wife is involved in an extramarital affair and has been living separately in Mahoba for the majority of their marriage. Now, after a 10-year hiatus, she has returned demanding an equal share of the property.
Upon learning about the incident, villagers intervened to pacify the situation and informed the Uldan police. The police promptly arrived at the scene, detaining both parties for questioning. The Uldan police chief indicated that this seems to be a familial dispute. Ongoing inquiries are expected to yield further steps based on their findings.
