Tejashwi Yadav, a leading figure of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), has leveled serious allegations against the Election Commission concerning the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process in Bihar. He described SIR as mere 'window dressing' and warned of a systematic conspiracy to remove names from the voter list.

'Our Own Form Still Unsubmitted'

Tejashwi stated, 'While the Election Commission claims over 80% of forms have been completed, our own form remains unsubmitted. The pressing question is whether this figure is accurate, and if so, how many of the submitted forms are genuine and verified?'

He further alleged that many voters are unaware that forms have already been filled out in their names, leading to confusion among both Booth Level Officers and ordinary citizens.

Tejashwi Yadav voiced concerns over the Election Commission's failure to amend the document list even after Supreme Court advice, pointing fingers directly at the commission for working under BJP's guidance.

'Even a Single Vote Reduction is a Crime'

Tejashwi speculated whether BJP, under the direction of leaders like Modi, Amit Shah, and Nitish Kumar, had set targets to cut 10-50 votes per booth. He declared that cutting even a single vote would be a grave offense, making the Prime Minister, Home Minister, and Chief Minister accountable.

Owaisi Also Raises Concerns

Meanwhile, AIMIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi has also voiced concerns over this issue. He stated, 'It is disgraceful that a constitutional body is now issuing statements on the basis of 'sources.' This is occurring just before elections, leaving the poorest without necessary documents and thus, deliberately powerless.'

'Understanding How Foreign Names Entered Voter Rolls'

In a retaliatory response, BJP IT Cell Chief Amit Malviya accused the opposition by stating, 'In 2003, the last SIR in Bihar occurred under an RJD government with Rabri Devi as Chief Minister and Lalu Prasad indirectly controlling power. This explains the entry of foreign names in voter rolls, clearly unsettling the self-proclaimed custodians of secularism from Delhi to Patna.'
