The mastermind behind the infamous 26/11 Mumbai attacks, Tahawwur Rana, is now in India. The NIA court has issued an 18-day custody period during which Rana will face intense interrogation on all facets related to the attacks. A significant moment captured in a photograph shows when US Marshals, on Tuesday, officially handed over Rana to representatives of India's Ministry of External Affairs in California's Central District.

Rana is confined in a cell on the ground floor of the NIA Headquarters, with the interrogation room strategically placed above it on the third floor. The interrogation team is led by DIG Jaya Roy, who played a pivotal role in bringing Rana from the USA to India. Daily reports of this intensive questioning will be sent to the concerned officials.

What Is Tahawwur Rana's Cell Like?

The cell furnished with only basic necessities has a bed on the floor and an attached bathroom. Its dimensions are 14x14. Food and other essentials will be provided to Rana within this cell, which is fortified with multiple layers of digital security, ensuring 24-hour surveillance by guards.
