While chasing, Delhi Capitals didn't have the best start, losing two wickets with just 10 runs on the board. Yash Dayal dismissed Faf du Plessis (2). Then Bhubaneswar Kumar sent opener Jake Fraser-McGurk (7) back to the pavilion. Bhubaneswar quickly struck again when 'Impact Sub' Abhishek Porel (7) attempted a big hit but was caught by wicketkeeper Jitesh Sharma. Captain Axar Patel also got out after making 15 runs, leading Delhi's score to 58 for 4.
However, KL Rahul and Tristan Stubbs brought Delhi Capitals back into the game. They built an unbeaten partnership of 111 runs. Rahul was in rhythm from the start, punishing poor deliveries, and completed his half-century in 37 balls. Following this milestone, Rahul turned aggressive, scoring 22 runs in the 15th over against Josh Hazlewood, which swung the match in Delhi's favor. Stubbs (unbeaten at 38) then played brilliant shots to make Delhi's task easier.

RCB's Fiery Start Falters
Opting to bat first, Royal Challengers Bangalore posted 163 for seven. RCB's innings began with a dazzling start. Virat Kohli and Phil Salt smashed 61 runs in just 23 balls, ended abruptly by Salt's run-out. Salt knocked 37 runs off 17 deliveries, featuring four boundaries and three sixes. However, RCB soon lost Devdutt Padikkal and Virat Kohli's wickets. Padikkal fell for one run to Mukesh Kumar, whereas Kohli lofted a catch to Mitchell Starc off spinner Vipraj Nigam.
At Kohli's departure, RCB was at 74 for the loss of three wickets. English batsman Liam Livingstone was expected to score big but only managed 4 runs before falling to Mohit Sharma. Wicketkeeper-batsman Jitesh Sharma was then dismissed by Kuldeep Yadav, increasing RCB's woes. Hopes centered on captain Rajat Patidar for a steady score, but after settling, he was caught behind score at 25 off Kuldeep's delivery.
The seventh wicket marked Krunal Pandya's dismissal for 18, bowled by Vipraj Nigam. Here, Tim David hit a few expansive shots to ensure RCB reached a respectable total. Tim David made an unbeaten 37 off 20 balls with four sixes and two fours. For Delhi Capitals, Kuldeep Yadav and Vipraj Nigam grabbed two wickets each. Mukesh Kumar and Mohit Sharma also claimed a wicket each.
