Two More Suspects Held in Saif Ali Khan's Attack Case; Interrogations in Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh

In a major breakthrough in the knife attack case on Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan, authorities have detained two more suspects. One individual was apprehended in Durg, Chhattisgarh, while the other was caught in Madhya Pradesh. This brings the total number of apprehended individuals in this high-profile case to three. Previously, Mumbai Police had detained a person in Mumbai, only to find he wasn't the assailant. Interrogation of the two newly detained individuals is currently underway.

Mumbai Police have shared a photograph of the suspect captured in Durg, Chhattisgarh. Identified as Akash, he claimed to be a resident of Mumbai during local police interrogations. An officer from Mumbai Police revealed that their team was to reach Raipur by 8 PM and proceed to Durg by 9-10 PM to further interrogate the suspect.

Suspect on His Way to Bilaspur Apprehended by Railway Police

The suspect, who was heading to Bilaspur, was detained by the Railway Protection Force in Durg, Chhattisgarh. During the detention, authorities recovered a bag marked 'FastTrack'. Similar bags have been identified in CCTV footage outside Saif's building and a mobile shop in Dadar. Officers from RPF Durg claim the suspect will be taken to Mumbai for further questioning. He was traveling via the Gyaneshwari Express. Mumbai Police tracked his location using mobile data, leading to his apprehension.

Suspect Unguent with Attack Case in MP

Meanwhile, the suspect detained in Madhya Pradesh amidst the Saif Ali Khan knife attack investigation is currently under interrogation by Mumbai Police. Senior IPS officers clarified that the individual questioned in MP wasn't directly related to the Saif Ali Khan case. Though the police have not contradicted reports of questioning in MP, they confirmed the individual wasn't involved in the case.

Besides Madhya Pradesh, Mumbai Police teams are conducting investigations in other states. Yesterday, it was revealed that 35 teams are deployed to locate Saif's attacker, but no solid leads have emerged yet. Mumbai Police's strongest lead is that the assailant changed his appearance to escape and was last seen in the Bandra area. Since then, his whereabouts remain unknown.
