In the Sultanpur robbery case, the UP STF has killed another accused, Anuj Pratap Singh, in an encounter. SP chief Akhilesh Yadav has reacted, calling Anuj's encounter fake and stating that any fake encounter is an injustice.

The SP head took to social media platform X to say that only the weakest consider encounters as a demonstration of their power. Any fake encounter is an injustice. Akhilesh further commented that those who have no future of their own ruin others' futures.

Akhilesh Yadav wrote that tarnishing Uttar Pradesh's image with violence and bloodshed is a major conspiracy against the state's future. Targeting CM Yogi, the SP chief said that the current rulers know they won't be re-elected. Hence, they want to create such conditions in UP that no one wants to invest or enter.

Where did Anuj Pratap's encounter happen?

Anuj Pratap Singh, accused of robbing a jeweler's shop in Sultanpur, was shot dead by the STF early Monday. Anuj and an accomplice had a confrontation with the STF team in the Achalganj police station area of Unnao district, where Anuj was hit by STF's bullet, while the other managed to escape. Anuj was taken to a district hospital where doctors declared him dead. Earlier, in the same case, Mangesh Yadav was also killed in an encounter by the STF.

The video released by the police of the Sultanpur robbery shows Anuj Pratap Singh being the first to enter the shop. He threatened the shopkeeper Bharat Soni and his son with a pistol. Only then did the rest of the gang follow. Anuj Pratap Singh was the closest associate of the gang leader Vipin Singh. Anuj was also part of the robbery in Gujarat along with Vipin Singh.

On August 28, masked and armed robbers looted a shop named Om Ornaments in Thatheri Bazaar, Sultanpur, broad daylight. During the robbery, they held the shopkeeper and others at gunpoint. The jeweler reported that the robbers made away with loot worth around two crore rupees.
