The Somnath Pride Festival commemorates the 1,000th anniversary of the attack on Somnath Temple by Mahmud of Ghazni in 1026 AD. Organizers say hundreds of saints from across India have gathered at Somnath for this occasion.
As part of the festival, a continuous 72-hour chant of 'Om' is being conducted in the temple complex. Despite historical attempts to destroy it, the Somnath Temple remains a symbol of faith, resilience, and national pride.
