Shocking CCTV Footage of Daylight Shooting in Delhi Emerges

According to the Deputy Commissioner of Police, the victim is now stable. Police are utilizing CCTV footage to trace the suspect.

In an audacious display of criminal bravado in North East Delhi, a miscreant shot 35-year-old Shahnawaz from behind before coolly fleeing the scene. The entire incident was caught on CCTV, occurring at 11:30 a.m.

The injured Shahnawaz was rushed to Jag Pravesh Chandra Hospital, then referred to Lok Nayak Hospital, where he's currently receiving treatment. Deputy Commissioner of Police, Joy Tirkey, assures that Shahnawaz’s condition has now stabilized. With the help of CCTV footage, efforts are underway to identify and apprehend the assailant. Early investigations suggest a personal vendetta may be involved. Shahnawaz is a laborer by profession, the police informed.

DCP reported the PCR call about a man shot in the head at Kabir Market arrived at around 11:30 a.m. Friday. A rapid response team was dispatched to the site where they discovered Shahnawaz wounded by a bullet in his head.

Witness statements indicate that an assailant approached Shahnawaz from behind while he was walking on the street and shot him at close range. The bullet entered from the back of the head, exiting through the temporal area on the left side. Tirkey indicated that a spent cartridge was also recovered from the scene, and CCTV footage is being examined. Crime and forensic teams have visited the site and efforts to identify the culprits continue. The police are determined to uncover the motive behind the incident as the investigation progresses.
