The National People's Front leader, Upendra Kushwaha, has urged Chief Minister Nitish Kumar to declare his son Nishant as his successor and entrust him with the leadership of JD(U). Extending birthday wishes to Nishant, Kushwaha advised Nitish Kumar to make a decisive choice regarding the party's leadership transition while time permits.
In a Facebook post, Upendra Kushwaha expressed that Nitish Kumar should recognize the urgency of the situation, acknowledging that managing both government and party affairs single-handedly may not be viable. His extensive governance experience benefits the state significantly, which remains crucial at present. However, a timely decision regarding party leadership transition is essential for the party's future.
RLM chief cautioned that further delays could harm JD(U), potentially causing damage beyond repair. Upendra Kushwaha stated his belief is shared by thousands of party workers and leaders. He remarked, 'What I assert here might be the unspoken truth from JD(U) leaders, who may not have access to convey this to the Chief Minister.'
