Who is Rivaba Jadeja:

Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel extended his cabinet in Gujarat. The swearing-in ceremony of the Gujarat government was held at the Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar. A total of 19 ministers took oath, including Rivaba Jadeja. Sworn in by Governor Acharya Devvrat, Rivaba is a 34-year-old MLA from Jamnagar North.

Rivaba Jadeja has been appointed as a minister. This role highlights her rising influence in politics. Having joined BJP in March 2019, she is now a minister in the Gujarat government. She is married to Team India's star all-rounder, Ravindra Jadeja, since 2016.

In the 2022 Gujarat Assembly election, Rivaba contested from the Jamnagar North seat fielded by BJP. She achieved a notable victory, defeating her nearest competitor from the Aam Aadmi Party, Karshanbhai, by more than 53,000 votes, garnering 88,835 votes compared to Karshanbhai's 35,265.

Rivaba's victory was impressive, winning in her first electoral attempt. Her inclination towards BJP has been long-standing. She was also the president of the Karni Kshatriya Sena of Saurashtra. The first election posed a challenge for Rivaba as she replaced incumbent MLA Dharmendrasinh Jadeja (Hakubha) for the ticket.
