As Delhi inches towards voting day on February 5th, political parties are going all out. In this context, Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi held rallies in Babarpur and Seemapuri. During these, she voiced her concern that despite the budget being discussed in Parliament, inflation was not addressed. 'How will inflation be reduced?' The government did not utter a single word on this. The people's plight is of no concern to the government. She criticized that GST has been imposed on everything, making life expensive - from children's school uniforms, socks, shoes, and sarees to bindis and notebooks. Fuel prices are soaring, and inflation is everywhere in the country.
Priyanka Gandhi directed her criticism towards the Aam Aadmi Party and Kejriwal, stating that Mr. Kejriwal spent 450 crore rupees on billboards to enhance his image. PM Modi has also spent thousands of crores for image-building. Both are allegedly selling the nation.
She highlighted that we all work hard to ensure our children do not have to struggle. Recently, I saw a well-dressed woman working as a gardener. When asked, she said they work contract jobs and have to work to support their families. Everything is taxed under GST. Once, people came to Delhi for government jobs, but now, there are no jobs available.
Rahul Gandhi also targets Kejriwal
In another sharp critique, Rahul Gandhi targeted Kejriwal. He recounted meeting a young man at a railway station, who was a 'coolie.' Upon inquiring, the young man revealed he was a civil engineer. Today, millions of educated individuals are forced into manual labor due to unemployment. Rahul stated there was an ongoing battle between PM Modi and Congress. Amidst this, Kejriwal promised to clean the Yamuna and later retreated to his 'palace' after coughing theatrically.
This is a fight between hate and love: Rahul Gandhi
Rahul Gandhi emphasized that during the Delhi riots, he himself visited the victims, standing resolutely with the Congress party. When you need Kejriwal, he is nowhere to be found. You know that Congress is a party that will stand with the people whenever they face threats. He recounted his defiance upon reaching UP’s Sambhal: 'I was not afraid because I am here to defend the constitution.' Congress is the party that gave us the Constitution. Now, RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat questions, 'What is the Constitution?' The battle is between two parties—hate and love, violence and non-violence, truth and falsehood. Nank Ji, Kabir Ji, Buddha, Gandhi Ji, and Ambedkar Ji fought for the truth. Once BJP is out of power, no one will remember them.
