The atmosphere outside Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati's camp at the Prayagraj Magh Mela has become tense following an uproar. Last night, disruptive elements attempted to forcefully enter the camp while chanting slogans. In response, followers have bolstered his security with barricades surrounding the camp. When questioned about his plans for the sacred Ganges bath, Swami Avimukteshwaranand said that he would proceed only when those who previously barred him respectfully take him there themselves.

Additional CCTV cameras have been installed around his camp. Followers claim this step is necessary, as no concrete security measures have been provided by the authorities. Avimukteshwaranand mentioned that the followers are aware of everyone's intentions and reactions, indicating that the young disciples installed the barricades out of concern for safety.

The meaning behind these barricades was questioned. Swami Avimukteshwaranand remarked that the situation persists as a result of those who initiated the tensions. They aim to undermine the Shankaracharya tradition.

Outside the camp, disruptive elements emerged

According to Swami Avimukteshwaranand's followers, some hooligans appeared outside the camp between around 6:30 and 7:30 PM carrying sticks, chanting "I love Bulldozer Baba". Allegations suggest some youths attempted to forcibly enter the camp, leading to clashes with the present servers.

Witnesses report that the situation escalated when rowdy elements began rioting and resorted to violence, resulting in scuffles between devotees and the troublemakers. After much effort, the hooligans were expelled from the camp, leaving devotees shaken.

A complaint has been filed regarding the incident

The camp manager, Pankaj Pandey, lodged a written complaint at the local police station, asserting that the dispute arose following obstruction during the Mouni Amavasya bathing event. The complaint warns that if the situation is not controlled promptly, unpleasant events could occur.

In a conversation with Aaj Tak, Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati expressed that he and his followers feel gravely threatened. He accused the fair administration of attempting to push them out and orchestrating such circumstances. He mentioned that the slogans and tumultuous incidents are part of a larger deliberate strategy.

The disciples have opted to cancel the 'Go Raksha Prerna Sanstha Yatra' considering the potential harm due to large crowds during Achala Saptami. It aims to prevent any inconvenience or danger for devotees.

Disciple Swami Mukundanand Maharaj emphasized concerns for Guruji's safety. Despite multiple requests for increased security from authorities, no relief has been received. Thus, barricades and CCTV cameras are installed around the camp.

So far, no official statement from the Magh Mela administration has been released. However, police sources confirm an ongoing investigation based on the complaint, with security precautions being observed.
