The terror attack in Pahalgam's Baisaran Valley, Jammu and Kashmir, has deeply shaken the entire nation. So far, the attack has claimed the lives of 16 individuals, with 10 more gravely injured and currently under medical care. The responsibility for this heinous act has been taken by The Resistance Front (TRF), a facade for the Pakistan-based terror group Lashkar-e-Taiba. Sources reveal that the mastermind behind Lashkar and TRF's terror activities in Jammu and Kashmir is none other than terrorist Saifullah Khalid, orchestrating these attacks.
Saifullah Khalid, also known as Saifullah Kasuri, is the deputy chief of Lashkar-e-Taiba and a close aide of India's most wanted, Hafiz Saeed. Known for his taste for luxury cars, his security detail is heavily armed with advanced weaponry. Recognized by the Pakistani army, his influence is evidenced by the showering of flowers by army officers. He incites Pakistani troops against India.

Two months prior to the latest attack, Saifullah Khalid arrived in Kanganpur, Punjab, Pakistan, home to a significant battalion of the Pakistani army. Invited by Colonel Zahid Zarin Khattak for a jihadist speech, he was welcomed with a floral tribute. Subsequently, he provocatively incited the Pakistani military against India, asserting that the more Indian soldiers they kill, the more blessings they would receive from Allah.
In a similar vein, at a gathering in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan, Saifullah Khalid spewed venom against India. He declared, "Today is February 2, 2025. By February 2, 2026, we will intensify efforts to seize Kashmir. Our Mujahideen will escalate their attacks. We are hopeful Kashmir will be liberated by February 2, 2026." This event was co-organized by the ISI and the Pakistani military, drawing a large audience of armed terrorists.
According to an intelligence report, last year, hundreds of Pakistani youths participated in a terror camp in the forests of Abbottabad, orchestrated by Lashkar-e-Taiba's political wings, PMML and SML. Saifullah Kasuri was present, handpicking youths for terror attacks and later training them for targeted killings. Utilizing fiery speeches against India, he incited young men at the camp.
The provision of terror training was followed by infiltration across the border facilitated by the Pakistani military. On August 5, 2019, after the constitutional amendments removing Articles 370 and 35A in India, ISI formed TRF (The Resistance Front) to shield terror groups like Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammad. The Pakistani military supports this terror group, using funding channels of Lashkar.
The Ministry of Home Affairs has informed the Rajya Sabha, "The Resistance Front (TRF) is a shadow organization of the terrorist group Lashkar-e-Taiba." Formed in 2019, TRF has consistently orchestrated terror attacks in Jammu and Kashmir. In the coming days, TRF's 'Hit Squad' and 'Falcon Squad' could pose a formidable threat in Kashmir, specializing in targeted killings and trained to elude in dense and elevated terrains.
