Noida International Airport signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Uttarakhand Transport Corporation (UTC) on Friday. This pact promises uninterrupted bus services from Noida Airport to major Uttarakhand cities like Dehradun, Rishikesh, Haridwar, and Haldwani.
Noida's Summer Flight Surge
Noida International Airport will open for passenger flights this summer. With the commercial operations beginning, UTC will launch a streamlined bus service, offering easy access to Uttarakhand's various tourist and religious spots.
Noida Airport stated in its official release that this partnership is a significant move towards enhancing regional connectivity. This initiative aims to provide travelers with a smooth and convenient travel experience to their destinations.
Strategically situated, Noida International Airport is linked to the Yamuna Expressway, facilitating easy road access to Delhi-NCR, Noida, and major cities in western Uttar Pradesh.
Expressing pride in the partnership, the Managing Director of Uttarakhand Transport Corporation remarked, 'We are proud to announce our strategic partnership with Noida International Airport. This connection marks a major step in linking Uttarakhand’s major cities – Dehradun, Rishikesh, Haridwar, and Haldwani – with Noida. It will boost tourism, accelerate economic growth, and ensure a convenient travel experience for passengers.'
In its first phase, the airport will feature one runway and a terminal, capable of handling 12 million passengers annually. Upon completion of its fourth phase, its capacity will expand to accommodate 70 million passengers per year, establishing it as a vital aviation hub in the region.
