An alarming incident has emerged from Nagpur, Maharashtra. Impostors posing as police officers have carried out a robbery against a retired policeman. The local police have begun an investigation based on the complaint filed. A police officer provided this information to a news agency. However, the fake officers have yet to be apprehended.
On Sunday, posing as police officers, two individuals approached a 75-year-old retired policeman and stole gold jewelry worth approximately 150,000 rupees. The retired assistant police sub-inspector, Dashrath Dhondabaji Barghat, was targeted near the Venu Corner Hotel on Manewada Road around 8:30 AM.

The Hunt for Culprits Intensifies
Introducing themselves as policemen, the duo concocted a story about rising thefts in the area. They warned, "The neighborhood is seeing a surge in thefts. How can you walk around wearing jewelry? Remove it at once." As soon as the retired officer removed his gold chain and ring, the thieves snatched all the jewelry and fled.
The Ajni police have registered a fraud case based on the complaint and have initiated an investigation to track down the culprits. However, no arrests have been made yet. The police express confidence in apprehending the suspects soon. The retired officer confessed that he was deceived by the impostors and became a victim.
