As PM Modi praised India's democracy, mentioning that our country harbors 2500 political parties, 17 to 18 of which govern, the Ghanaian MPs were astonished, glancing at each other in surprise.
During this, PM Modi emphasized that India is the mother of democracy. For us, democracy is not just a system, it is part of our core values. India is home to over 2,500 political parties, 20 different parties governing various states, 22 official languages, and thousands of dialects. This is why India has always welcomed visitors with open hearts.
India Signs 4 MoUs with Ghana
In the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Ghana's President John Dramani Mahama, India and Ghana signed four agreements.
MoU on Cultural Exchange Program (CEP):
Aiming to promote greater cultural understanding and exchange in art, music, dance, literature, and heritage.
MoU between Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) and Ghana Standards Authority (GSA):
Aims to enhance cooperation in standardization, certification, and conformity assessment.
MoU between Ghana's Traditional and Alternative Medicine (ITAM) and India's Institute of Teaching and Research in Ayurveda (ITRA):
Intends to collaborate in traditional medicine education, training, and research.
MoU on Joint Commission Meeting:
Aims to institutionalize high-level dialogue and regularly review bilateral cooperation mechanisms.

Traditional Welcome for Modi
Prime Minister Narendra Modi was greeted in Ghana with traditional customs, involving music and dance, highlighting the profound cultural and historical bonds between the two nations.
