According to Russian news agencies, on Friday, near Moscow, five gunmen in combat gear opened fire in a concert hall, resulting in at least 40 fatalities and over 100 severely injured. Reports from The Associated Press indicate that the shooters targeted Crocus City Hall, located on the western outskirts of the Russian capital. Explosions were heard following the shooting, and the concert hall was engulfed in flames.
About an hour after the shooting commenced, the Rosgvardiya Special Forces reached Crocus City Hall. Helicopters were dispatched for firefighting efforts. With fears of hundreds trapped inside the concert hall, over 50 ambulances rushed to the scene.
