Here's a closer look at the case...
On September 29, Bajrang Dal activist Shobhit Thakur was shot dead. Last night, the police clashed with four suspects accused of this crime. During the encounter, all four sustained injuries to their legs and were taken to the district hospital for treatment.
SP City Kumar Ranvijay Singh stated that a formal complaint was filed against the four suspects in the murder of Shobhit Thakur. The police were persistently searching for them. On Sunday, intel suggested that these suspects intended to escape the city, which led to their subsequent capture by the police after a thorough dragnet was laid.
According to SP City, there were two encounters at different locations. The first occurred in the Kalyanpur area, where two suspects were apprehended in an injured state. The second encounter took place near Got Village in the Kathghar police station area, where the other two suspects were injured. A reward of ₹25,000 was announced for each suspect.
The identified suspects are Avinash, Rohit, Akku, and Jatin. Investigations reveal that suspect Avinash had a dispute with Shobhit Thakur. Driven by vengeance, Avinash instructed Akku to shoot Shobhit, after which Akku fired a shot. Currently, all four suspects receive ongoing medical care at the district hospital, while the police continue the investigation into the matter.
