The renowned film actress Mamta Kulkarni has embraced the spiritual path, having formally joined the Kinnar Akhara after renouncing worldly ties. Her coronation was announced by Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Swami Dr. Laxmi Narayan Tripathi of the Kinnar Akhara, who revealed Mamta's new spiritual identity as Mahamandaleshwar Shri Yamai Mamta Nand Giri. She has been with us for over two years, and our entire community stands united in welcoming her.
Upon becoming a Mahamandaleshwar, Mamta shared, 'The universe is an embodiment of Shiva and Shakti. I have dedicated several years to spiritual practice. My guru, Chaitanya Gagan Giri, is from the Juna Akhara. I've been in contact with Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Swami Dr. Laxmi Narayan Tripathi of the Kinnar Akhara for two years. Jagatguru Mahendra Giri Ji tested my knowledge of meditation, dedication, and spiritual enlightenment. Unbeknownst to me, my years of penance were being assessed for three days, and I passed with flying colors. I received the honor to become a Mahamandaleshwar.'
A New Chapter Without Bollywood
Mamta stated that there are three paths in spirituality - the left path, the right path, and the middle path, the latter led by Laxmi Narayan Tripathi. Having meditated and practiced for 23 years, I sought freedom through spiritual life with no better organization than this one. I wish not to return to Bollywood, which I left behind 23 years ago, seeking spiritual growth.
Mamta Elaborates on the Meaning of 'Sanatan'
Mamta elucidated the essence of 'Sanatan' which signifies the eternal divinity that was, is, and will be. I will promote this divine knowledge through a balanced spiritual journey. I attended the Kumbh Mela held after 144 years. I had also visited 12 years ago during the Purna Kumbh. My journey to the Vishwanath Temple was sudden as its priest disappeared. Adi Shakti seemed to direct me, thinking 'What's the wait for now?' After my long penance, I deserve recognition.

Promoting Spirituality in Cinema
Regarding cinema, I won't be confined in any way. The Kinnar Akhara of the middle path permits complete freedom, which is unparalleled. For Sanatan Dharma, I pledge loyalty and commitment. If any film offers promoting spirituality, akin to Hema Malini or Arun Govil, I may take part. Such opportunities align with the freedom granted by the Kinnar Akhara.

Speaking Out Against Injustice
Mamta voiced concerns against the injustices faced by Hindus in Bangladesh. Why is there so much hatred? During my 23-year penance, I relinquished food, surviving 50-60 days on water alone. Witnessing devastation first-hand, it was clear that nations like Pakistan, Nepal, India, and Bangladesh cease to matter when deeds cause suffering, retribution follows in the hereafter.
In 2012-13, I fasted, embracing the right path, purifying my heart. Contrary to the extravagant lifestyle of Bollywood, which I left, I chose relentless penance.

Overcoming Trials and Divine Anger
Once a superstar, I owned elegant wardrobes and vehicles, which meant nothing when my world turned challenging. I surrendered everything, commuting via metro to temples, pursuing years of penance. Angry with God for past trials, I questioned what my dedication yielded. However, being chosen as a Mahamandaleshwar proved my faith was not in vain.
