The Price & Features of Mahindra XUV 7XO:

The saga of modern cars now exceeds traditional four-wheelers, morphing into gadget-like innovations. With a mere button press, tasks are accomplished, a wave of the hand opens possibilities, and a simple voice command unveils the sky through the panoramic sunroof. In this competitive race for cutting-edge and practical features, leading automobile manufacturer Mahindra & Mahindra has proudly showcased its new SUV, the Mahindra XUV 7XO, at a grand global event.

Mahindra has unleashed an extremely advanced machine on the road. Today, the company proudly launched its latest SUV, the XUV 7XO, in the Indian market. With an attractive starting price of INR 13.66 lakh (ex-showroom), official bookings for this SUV will commence on January 14, coinciding with Makar Sankranti. Test drives will be available starting January 8.

Approximately five years ago, the company introduced the XUV700 to the market for the first time. The new SUV, aptly named 'XUV 7XO', symbolizes Mahindra's next generation of models with extensive updates throughout the vehicle. The company asserts that this SUV incorporates an advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS), not yet seen in other ICE (petrol-diesel) vehicles on the market.

The XUV 7XO draws its design inspiration from Mahindra's latest 'born electric' vehicles, incorporating design elements from the XEV 9S and XEV 9E models. Featuring boomerang-shaped daytime running lights (DRLs), trapezoidal front LED headlamps, hexagonally detailed new taillamps, and a revised front grille, the SUV captures the essence of modern design.

The side profile retains much of the classic XUV700 look, while new alloy wheel designs add a distinctive character. At the rear, connected LED tail lights and a redesigned bumper bring an attractive dynamic to the SUV.

Inside the cabin, the XUV 7XO features a new upholstery color theme. The most significant interior upgrade is the triple screen setup, comprising a digital instrument cluster, central infotainment screen, and an individual screen for the front passenger. A new two-spoke steering wheel, along with a touch-based HVAC control panel, simplifies the dashboard. Comfort features extend to a panorama sunroof, ventilated front seats, powered boss mode for the front passenger, a 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system with Dolby Atmos, wireless charging, and dual-zone climate control.

Mahindra claims the XUV 7XO is India's first SUV equipped with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos systems. According to Mahindra, its panoramic dashboard display immerses all passengers in a unique visual experience. Additionally, the VenueEscape feature provides superior audio quality, and with Alexa and ChatGPT-enabled cabin, the vehicle repsresents a first in Indian automotive technology.

In terms of performance, the XUV 7XO continues with its reliable engine setup: a 2.0-liter turbo petrol engine capable of 200 bhp, and a 2.2-liter diesel engine generating up to 185 bhp. Both engine options come with a choice of a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. Higher diesel variants offer an optional all-wheel-drive system.

It also incorporates Level 2 ADAS technology, which includes adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, and automatic emergency braking among its 17 total ADAS features.

This SUV offers more than 75 safety features, contributing to its superior safety ratings. It's noteworthy that the XUV700 received a full 5-star rating in the Global New Car Assessment Program (NCAP) crash test in 2021, and the company aims for the new XUV 7XO to achieve similar safety performance under Bharat NCAP standards.
