In the Maharashtra elections, UP's Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's slogan 'Divide and Fall' has been stirring up the scene. When the CM declared this slogan, the BJP and its alliance, Maha Yuti, anchored their campaign on 'United We Stand'. However, disagreements over this have emerged within BJP and Maha Yuti.
NCP leader Ajit Pawar was the first to oppose the slogan. Now, BJP’s Pankaja Munde expresses that such a slogan holds no relevance for Maharashtra. In an interaction with a leading English daily, Munde emphasized that Maharashtra doesn't need divisive rhetoric. Loyalty to their party doesn't warrant support for everything said, she implied.
Munde asserted that development is the true agenda. She, a BJP legislative council member, argued that leaders must understand every resident belongs here. Maharashtra, she insisted, should avoid divisive issues. She noted Adityanath referred to it in UP's unique political context—not the universal interpretation assumed.
PM Modi's Inclusive Measures
: Pankaja highlighted Modi's universal outreach—ration, housing, and more without bias. Despite distancing from Yogi's slogan, she aligned with BJP's policies, highlighting government inclusivity and development.
Ajit Pawar, referring to 'Divide and Fall', stated such notions don't gel here. What fits for UP doesn't translate to Maharashtra’s ethos—a land of saints, Shivaji, and Ambedkar. Their teachings guide us, he reinforced; hence, respecting all emotions is crucial.
