In the Magh Mela of Prayagraj, the disciples have proactively installed several CCTV cameras to ensure no compromise in the security of Shankaracharya. They assert that unidentified suspicious figures have been seen under cover of darkness, seemingly conducting reconnaissance. To enhance security, 10 CCTV cameras have been set up.
Disciples Accuse Administration
According to the disciples, notices are being pasted clandestinely by the administration during nighttime. Consequently, there is constant surveillance on all movements through the cameras. Undercover LIU personnel (State Intelligence Agency) and central agencies are keeping watch. It's essential to monitor who comes and goes in this situation. Given the unpredictability of administrative actions or potential entrapments, these cameras are crucial.

It should be noted that during the Magh Mela in Prayagraj, a dispute arose between the police and the disciples of Avimukteshwaranand during the Mauni Amavasya when going for a dip in the Sangam. Allegedly, the disciples were assaulted, prompting Avimukteshwaranand to direct the palanquin back to his camp. He also refused the ritual bath.
Avimukteshwaranand Also Avoided Bathing on Basant Panchami
Since this incident, Avimukteshwaranand has been in protest, refusing to enter his camp until the administration apologizes and facilitates a dip at the Sangam. Consequently, he abstained from bathing on Basant Panchami on January 23. The Mela administration has continued to send notices since Mauni Amavasya, including one questioning his claim to the Shankaracharya title.
The administration's notices have been responded to by the Shankaracharya, yet the conflict remains unresolved. Meanwhile, there's viral commentary from Keshav Prasad Maurya stating that Shankaracharya should not be stubborn and should proceed with the ceremonial bath.
