A massive explosion in Madrid on Saturday sent shockwaves through the city. The blast, which occurred in a building in the capital, injured 25 individuals, with two reportedly in serious condition. In response, a significant number of police, firefighters, and rescue teams were deployed to the scene.

According to the Spanish news agency EFE, preliminary investigations suggest that a gas leak might have caused the explosion. However, police are still conducting investigations to confirm the cause.

Blast Occurred on Ground Floor of Building

Fire Chief Javier Romero reported that the explosion took place around 3 PM on the ground floor of the three-story building. Following the incident, rescue teams managed to extract four individuals from the debris, all of whom were subsequently hospitalized.

The explosion significantly impacted the surrounding area. A café, a shop, and other properties located on the building's ground floor suffered severe damage. Panic swept through the area as security personnel carried out precautionary investigations.
