In the heart of Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand, a wild elephant caused a commotion as it sauntered into a residential area late on Saturday night. The majestic creature lingered near the Jharkhand Assembly for about two hours. Its unexpected presence sent a shiver through the local populace. The police, upon being alerted, managed to steer the elephant back toward the wilderness using sirens and firecrackers.
According to the Forest Department, the elephant, having strayed from its herd, entered the city causing widespread panic. The team, along with the police, utilized sirens and crackers to redirect the elephant back to its natural habitat. Fortunately, due to the late hours and sparse traffic, the wanderer did not harm anyone. The residents exhibited patience and played a key role in aiding the elephant's return to the forest.
