The town of Jaunpur in Uttar Pradesh has been left in shock after the brutal murder of a couple by their own son. As the 'killer' son recounted the chilling events in front of the police, listeners were left speechless. It was hard to fathom that a son could subject his own parents to such a brutal end over land, money, and inter-religious marriage disputes. The son crossed all limits of cruelty by cutting his mother's body into pieces with a saw, strangling his father with a rope, and disposing of their bodies in bags off the Gomti and Sai rivers.
Horrific Murder: Mother Dismembered, Father Strangled
On the night of the incident, in the village of Ahmadpur, Ambesh had a heated argument with his parents, Shyam Bahadur and Babita, over money. Having married a Muslim woman in Kolkata who was demanding maintenance, he turned violent when his parents refused financial support. Ambesh struck them brutally with an iron rod.

When the father tried to call for help, Ambesh attacked him again, strangling him to death with a rope. Then, using a saw taken from the basement, he dismembered his mother's body.
Dark Deeds Under Cover of Night
After the murders, Ambesh cleaned the bloody scene with his parents' clothes to eliminate evidence. Dividing the bodies into six parts, he packed them into cement bags. One part of his mother’s body wouldn't fit, which he left aside. He then placed the bags in his car trunk and drove 7 kilometers to dispose of them into the Gomti River from Belaw Bridge, later discarding the remaining piece in the Sai River en route to Varanasi.

The Search for Missing Body Parts
Ambesh misled his sister Vandana, telling her their parents had left. On December 13th, Vandana reported them missing. When police apprehended Ambesh on December 15th, he constantly changed his story. According to ASP City Ayush Srivastava, under intensive questioning, he confessed to his crime. A re-enactment was conducted, and with the help of divers, a part of the father's body was recovered. The search for other remains is ongoing.
