Following the resignation of Jagdeep Dhankhar as Vice President, his brother-in-law and lawyer, Praveen Balwada, maintained that Dhankhar never experienced pressure and his decision was possibly due to health reasons. Balwada's remarks come at a time when opposition parties, including Congress, are questioning the abrupt resignation.

He elucidated, 'There wasn’t any political pressure. He never accepted any kind of pressure. I've known him since college days. I've never seen him under duress.'

'Dhankhar faced low blood pressure issues'

Balwada mentioned that Dhankhar had been grappling with health issues for some time, which he somewhat neglected. His relative stated, 'In March, he underwent a stent transplant. He has consistently faced low blood pressure issues.' He further reported that Dhankhar had experienced dizziness several times.

'Health is vitally important'

He remarked, 'It’s clear that health is crucial. Due to his extreme dedication to work and his sincere commitment, he might have felt it challenging to justify both health and work together.'

'Honored family wishes'

Balwada explained that when Dhankhar was appointed the Governor of Rajasthan, he wasn’t particularly eager about it. The lawyer said, 'This time, I believe he has honored his family’s desires.'

What did Ashok Gehlot say about Dhankhar’s resignation?

Ex-Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, along with Congress leaders, raised questions about the grounds of Dhankhar’s resignation, alleging he worked under pressure. Gehlot noted that Dhankhar cited health issues as the reason for his resignation, but people aren’t convinced this is true.
