Officials indicate preparations are underway for a move towards the Hamas stronghold of Rafah.
According to the AP report, IDF Chief Lieutenant General Herzi Halevi stated the battle in Gaza perseveres, and we are not ceasing our efforts. Senior Hamas officials remain concealed in the southern Gaza Strip, and we shall reach them.
Media reports also revealed that Israel is preparing to vacate Rafah.
As per ABC News, Israel's Defense Minister Yov Galant explained Sunday's troop withdrawal from Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip was to ready the military for future missions, including in Rafah.
