Significantly, he crossed the landmark 300 sixes mark, becoming only the second player to do so after the legendary Chris Gayle, who had achieved 357 towering sixes.

Rohit Sharma's 266th IPL innings saw him crossing the 7000-run milestone. He now stands as the second-highest run-scorer in the IPL. Leading this elite list is Virat Kohli, with an astonishing 8618 runs from 266 matches, boasting an average of 39.53. His illustrious career features 8 centuries and 63 half-centuries.

Demonstrating masterclass batting, Rohit Sharma formed a formidable 84-run partnership for the first wicket with Jonny Bairstow, who contributed 47 runs. The partnership thrived as Rohit was granted two lifesavers when Gerald Coetzee and Kusal Mendis missed catching opportunities.
