In this letter, he urges for a relief and rehabilitation package for the areas affected by the Pakistani shelling, particularly Poonch. He writes, 'I recently visited Poonch, where the tragic shelling by Pakistan resulted in the death of 14 people, including 4 children, and numerous injuries.'

He stated that the abrupt and indiscriminate attack wreaked havoc on civilian areas. Hundreds of homes, shops, schools, and places of worship have been severely damaged, and many victims have described their years of toil shattered in moments.
