Team India's assistant coach, Ryan ten Doeschate, has made significant remarks about managing Mohammed Siraj's workload. He highlighted the extensive amount of cricket Siraj has played over the past few years, stressing the importance of monitoring his health and fitness. The increasing demands of international cricket schedules have turned workload management into a crucial issue.
India's head coach, Gautam Gambhir, had earlier announced, ahead of the England tour, that star fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah would feature in only three of the five Test matches. Accordingly, Bumrah missed the Edgbaston Test and is likely to sit out the series finale as well. Ten Doeschate praised Mohammed Siraj's energy and dedication, likening him to a "lion."
During a media conference, Ten Doeschate stated, "It's crucial to manage the workload of players like Mohammed Siraj, who are always ready to deliver extra overs, much like Stokes did on the fifth day at Lord's. We often take for granted how fortunate we are to have a player like Siraj. Although his statistics may not always reflect expectations, speaking of his spirit and heart, he is truly a lion. Whenever he bowls, it feels like something is about to happen."

What did Vengsarkar say about Bumrah?
Former selector Dilip Vengsarkar asserted that if Bumrah is fully fit, he should play in all Test matches. Meanwhile, assistant coach Ten Doeschate has confirmed that Bumrah will not be rested for the fourth Test in Manchester. India currently trails 1-2 in the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy and will strive to equalize the series.
Ten Doeschate mentioned, knowing that we'll certainly play him in one of the last two Tests ensures that with the series on the line, it's highly likely they'll opt for him in Manchester.
